I now post on ...

This site remains and mostly documents my life as a farmer. I now identify as a quilt maker.
... ... Here, in my own quiet little space on the web ... I'll share my sheepish thoughts ... and some of my quilts ... with the world ... or at least with anyone who is interested ... :-)
The BFLs are LOONNNG gone. TERRIBLE mothers and not enough fleece for me. I want to play with extension dominance as I have it in my Shetland flock and develop a line of Shetland / Cormo crosses that will have Cormo fleece (under 23 microns) in Shetland colours, patterns, and with spotting. I'll still breed registered Shetlands ... but I really like the Cormos. We'll see how they cross on the Shetlands.
I like no. 2. For what it's worth since you didn't ask, and the photos are all different angles lol. I'm looking forward to following this latest project of yours!
I am so excited to hear of your new venture Bill! Cormos are beautiful sheep and I was hoping to add some to my flock eventually.... I'm guessing it'll be sooner rather than later thanks to you :)

Will you have the Cormos INSTEAD of the BFLs or in addition to?

How exciting, Bill! I can't wait to see what you get out of this cross. Then again, maybe I'll just have to stay far far away... :-)

You didn't ask for opinions, but I vote for no. 2 as well.
Good luck with the Cormo/Shetlands! Would love to see the fleece off of this cross.
