* NOTE* ... Kara pointed out in a comment that the Maple Ridge sheep had been sheared in the Fall so that their fleeces were only 5 or 6 month's growth. I still doubt that many of them would have fleece of 7 inches or more in a year. Here is a link to the Maple Ridge website. Check out the pictures there and you'll see that my point that fleeces of 7" ormore are NOT common in these more original flocks.

Bill didn't we establish that those March pictures were the year that they had been sheared in the fall? So that is 4 to 6 month growth.
Thanks Bill for the great photos. Especially of the original Dailey sheep.
Kara - If that is indeed the case, the photo of the rams labeled 'blog--rams-outside+-+maple+ridge.jpg, shows ram lambs that would almost be yearlings. It would be most unlikely that they sheared the lambs in the fall too so I would assume that is just normal growth. Please correct me if I'm wrong!
WOW & THANK YOU
Hey Bill - who's Fleece is that?
Beautiful lock structure. Kind of looks like Cherrington Harry's fleece - or maybe even Kalwa Taure Blizzards. Although Blizzard has gone quite dark in colour now.
Hi Tammy,
That is indeed Blizzaed's fleece. A GREAT example of Cherrington/Skerryvore fleece!
