I'm with ya there Bill. I have 9 just like this in the shelter that my grandkids were hugging greatly today. The ones under the hen are ever so much easier to raise, aren't they?
I thought that looked like baby chicks in the thumbnail!
My kitchen counter is one of the FEW places that I don't have chicks. There's no room on the counter ~ it's too full of chick feeders and waterers and feed bowls for the big chickens, water buckets, etc., etc., etc.
And they are staying there as long as there is a chance that my grand kids will get to see/pet/play with them.
